Who are we

We are an Africa-focused geoservices, engineering consultancy, and project management company, providing integrated solutions across the mining and construction sectors. Backed by a diverse and experienced resource base, we deliver end-to-end support from concept to closure, with a strong emphasis on safety, quality, and sustainable development.

Founded in 2010 as Geocrest Investments, our journey began with geoservices on the Zanaga Iron Ore Project in the Republic of Congo. Through steady organic growth and strategic partnerships, Geocrest has developed into a dynamic, multi-division operation. Today, we operate across the whole continent   with a workforce of over 100 personnel, including full-time staff, associates, and contractors.

Henry Antwi
Board Chairman
  • An accomplished Mining Engineer and Mineral Economist with international experience across Ghana, USA, UK, Canada, Australia, and Oman.

  • Holds degrees from KNUST School of Mines, Camborne School of Mines (UK), Colorado School of Mines (USA), Curtin University (Australia), and an Honorary Doctorate from Thrivus University, Ghana.

  • Career began with Ashanti Goldfields, Obuasi Mine, with further experience at Datamine International (UK) and Campbell Red Lake Mine (Canada).

  • Expertise spans mining engineering, mineral economics, consulting, M&A, mining policy, and investment analysis.

  • A Fellow of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (AusIMM), published author, and recipient of the 2021 AusIMM Resources Sector Award.

  • Advisory focus includes gold, copper, iron ore, coal, bauxite, and industrial minerals, supporting policy development, financing, due diligence, and board governance.

Godwin Commey
Executive Director
  • A Geological Engineer and certified Project Manager with 20 years experience in exploration, mining (underground and open pit mining operation), Tailings management, Audits and Closure plans.

  • A results-oriented mining executive with a track record of transforming businesses through innovative strategies, critical thinking, and excellence. His interpersonal skills and motivational capabilities have enabled teams achieve exceptional results and maximised their potential.

  • Godwin has previously worked with Coffey mining (now Tetra tech), SRK Consulting, Amec Foster Wheeler (now Wood PLC) and Sahara Natural Resources.

  • Godwin holds an MBA in Project Management from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA), a BSc in Geological Engineering from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), School of Mines and is a globally certified Project Management Professional (PMP) with the Project Management Institute (PMI)

  • He is a member of the Ghana Institution of Engineers (GhIE), West African Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum (WAIMM), Project Management Institute (PMI-PMP) and The Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (AusIMM).

Andrew Mfum-Ware
Executive Director
  • A professional Civil Engineer with 15 years’ experience in the mining and civil sector. Focusing on project and operations management, business development, and strategic planning.

  • Holds a BSc in Civil Engineering from KNUST and a Diploma in Marketing Management from the Institute of Commercial Management, UK (ICM-UK). Member of the Ghana Institution of Engineers (GhIE).

  • Experience includes executing Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contracts across Ghana, Burkina Faso, Guinea, Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Côte d’Ivoire, Gabon, Uganda, and Tanzania.

  • Has a proven track record of implementing effective business strategies, managing multicultural teams, ensuring quality delivery, and mitigating risks in complex engineering environments.

Aaron Ayisi
Non Executive Director
  • A Supply Chain Specialist with 15 years of experience in procurement, logistics, and supply chain management.

  • Has expertise in sourcing, supply, demand planning and vendor management.

  • Aaron holds an MSc in Logistics and Supply Chain Management from Hull University and a BSc in Mechanical Engineering from KNUST School of Mines.

  • Career includes senior roles with Maersk Rigworld Ghana Ltd, Atlantic Climate Control Ltd, Unilever UK, Dairy Crest Ltd, Nestlé Ghana Ltd, and Coca-Cola Bottling Company Ltd.

  • Skilled in sourcing, demand planning, contract negotiations, and supplier relationship management, with a focus on optimizing systems and processes.

Thomas Amoah
Non Executive Director
  • A Geological Engineer with 29 years’ experience in exploration, resource development, and project management across West Africa.

  • Holds a Diploma in Geological Engineering from KNUST School of Mines and an Executive MBA from GIMPA.

  • Member of the Australian Institute of Geoscientists (AIG) and the Society of Economic Geologists (SEG).

  • Led major exploration projects in West Africa, including +500,000 oz and 200,000 oz gold discoveries, and expanded resources to 5 million oz.

  • Expertise spans greenfield to brownfield exploration, feasibility studies, and mine development, with passion for mentorship and training.

  • A globally certified Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHRi) with 12 years’ experience in HR leadership across public and private sectors. 

  • Expertise covers recruitment, training, employee relations, compliance, performance management, HR technology, compensation, and strategic leadership.

  • Holds an MBA in Human Resources Management (2018) and a BA in French Language (2012) from the University of Cape Coast.

  • Career experience includes HR roles at Vodafone Ghana (now Telecel Ghana), Ghana Psychology Council (Ministry of Health), and as Group Head of HR at New Crystal Health Services Limited. 

  • Active member of professional bodies including HR Focus Universe (Torch Bearer), ACHR – Ghana (Full Member), and SHRP – Ghana (Member).
